It causes the immature sperms to attain toroid like structures and also induces ss breaks in the sperm DNA and as well as in the genome of germ cells. It reduces the sperm count and also induces apoptosis in sperm and germ cells of male rats.\u00a0 It reduces the viability of mitochondria by increasing the permeability of inner membrane of mitochondria through release of cyt C. During oxidative stress the germ cell mitochondria expressed unique cyt P450 to get rid of the negative effects induced by oxidative stress but the expression of cyt P450 was not seen in sperm mitochondria and cryopreservation of sperm mitochondria induced distortion in the organelle.
