Over the last decade, health care institutions have borrowed performance improvement tools from manufacturing sector, including \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcLean\u00e2\u20ac\u2122, emphasized by Toyota, as well as \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcSix Sigma\u00e2\u20ac\u2122, with its early roots at Motorola.
