{"id":337,"date":"2015-06-15T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2015-06-15T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/npaa.in\/journal-ijta\/physiotherapy-assessment-of-canavan-disease-case-report\/"},"modified":"2019-09-22T10:44:43","modified_gmt":"2019-09-22T10:44:43","slug":"physiotherapy-assessment-of-canavan-disease-case-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npaa.in\/journal-ijta\/2015\/06\/15\/physiotherapy-assessment-of-canavan-disease-case-report\/","title":{"rendered":"PHYSIOTHERAPY ASSESSMENT OF CANAVAN DISEASE: CASE REPORT"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mehmet Duray, G\u00c3\u00b6n\u00c3\u00bcl K\u00c4\u00b1lavuz, Filiz Altu\u00c4\u0178<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">ABSTRACT<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Background: This study aimed to present symptoms related to physiotherapy of Canavan Disease (CD) and evaluation of these symptoms.\u00a0<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Methods: In physiotherapy evaluations of the child included gross motor function measurement (GMFCS), muscle tone evaluation with Modified Ashworth Scale, Reflex Evaluation (Patellar reflex, Achilles reflex and clonus), musculoskeletal system assessment (range of motion measurement, anthropomorphic measurements and muscle shortness tests).<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Results: The disability level of our case according to the GMFCS was level V. The patients were hypotonic.
