PRIMARY MUCINOUS ADENOCARCINOMA OF APPENDIX – CASE REPORT

ABSTRACT
We report a mucinous type adenocarcinoma of appendix in a 40 year old male. The preoperative diagnosis was acute appendicitis and emergency appendicectomy was performed. Histopathology was positive for appendiceal mucinous adenocarcinoma, localized to appendix. Followup investigations for staging did not show any growth or metastasis and patient did not agree for right hemicolectomy.
